Edison specializes in manufacturing products. This includes everything that it takes to get there - with an emphasis on speed to market and exceptional quality. Culture is where we compete first and foremost; having the right people with the right values enables our organization to be at the forefront of the technologies of today and what is to come tomorrow. Our experience and proven results along with vast resources allows us to deliver, to our partners, a level of service above the competition.

We don’t have clients, we have partners. Edison was created around a model which doesn’t exist today. We view our customer’s products as our own – if we’re facing a shutdown as a result of a missing component, we find a way to circumvent the issue, we don’t wait for our partners to fix problems for us. Our team has extensive experience with autonomous vehicles, electric vehicles markets, defense products, aerospace/ air mobility components and traditional automotive operations such as CKD, kitting or volume component supply. Our team has partnered with countless startups and publicly traded companies alike with great success.

Our sister organization at PJ Wallbank Springs, Inc. (IATF 16949, ISO14001) has been a supplier in the automotive industry for nearly 40 years, supplying millions of components annually to OEMs and Tier 1s around the world (20+ countries internationally). The PJWS team has found success in scaling over 300% during the past three years; this experience brings a unique perspective on both the high and low points of such rapid expansion. It is this perspective that has provided our collective team with the knowledge and experience to effectively understand how to provide effective solutions in both traditional and transforming markets.

Edison: What’s different about us?

Clients planning to build their own products usually have two options:

Option 1: At one end, build your own capacity and capability, usually at significant cost, with considerable learning along the way, assuming the right team members can be found.

Option 2: Or at the other end, partnering with an established partner, typically at the OEM level. With this choice, a great deal of control will be lost, and with it cost effectiveness and speed.

There is a 3rd option, and that’s where we come in. We can be a nimble and flexible partner, who has successfully scaled such builds for other customers in the same space from a handful to thousands while accommodating changes the entire way. It will be done cost consciously and at a speed much faster than one could execute under their own roof. There will also be total control, transparency and a partner that offers our undivided attention.

How do we accomplish these desired outcomes?

  • Our process is entirely product-centric
  • We do not use a “standard” phase/gate style process
  • We apply a lean style milestone-based approach with integration events
  • Our team thrives in high change environments
  • We don’t have clients, we have partners
